Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry & The Orb For Numusic

Norwegian electronic music festival announces collaborators as first acts on this year's bill

Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and The Orb have been announced for this year’s Numusic festival, taking place in Stavanger, Norway, from September 5-7.

Following up on last year’s The Orbserver In The Star House, the trio will release More Tales From The Orbservatory next Monday, June 3.

Says The Orb’s Thomas Fehlmann about recording with Perry: "It was pretty touching to see how an unexpected connection and inspirational exchange could so awaken our creative juices. Alex [Paterson] and I had never made so much new music on the spot before. [Perry] was constantly active, referring to the tunes we were working on and hitting bits of wood or stone to create percussion patterns, so we ended up using field recordings of him banging on bits and pieces."
