Laurel Halo is set to play a few dates in the UK in May and June, as part of a larger European tour. Her upcoming Quarantine album is set for release through Hyperdub a few weeks beforehand. One of the most interesting and distinctive albums of the year so far, it follows on from a series of unique EPs she’s released over the past eighteen months or so, including last year’s stellar Hour Logic. Her live shows in the past have been great, shifting all the way from the ambient, dreamy drift of last year’s Antenna cassette to harder, more techno-tinged material. Quarantine is, by way of contrast, a lot heavier on the vocals, so it’s quite possible that her show will have shifted accordingly.
Halo’s UK dates run as follows:
MAY
31st – Glasgow, The Arches
JUNE
1st – Manchester, Islington Mill
2nd – London, Field Day
5th – Liverpool, Kazimier
Halo will also be playing an extensive tour of Europe around the same time.
