Laurel Halo To Release Debut Soundtrack

'Possessed' was produced to accompany a film of the same name by Metahaven & Rob Schröder

Laurel Halo is set to release her very first soundtrack this April.

Possessed was produced to soundtrack the 2018 essay film of the same name by artist collective Metahaven and Rob Schröder. It sees the Hyperdub-affiliated artist touch on drone pieces, as well as works for piano, cello and violin.

Galya Bisengalieva features on the soundtrack playing violin while Oliver Coates contributes cello and other string production to a number of the record’s pieces. You can hear a track from Possessed, called ‘Hyphae’, above.

The 13-track soundtrack will be released via The Vinyl Factory on CD, vinyl and digital formats on April 10.
