Late Junction Curate End Of The Road Stage

One of tQ's favourite radio shows will be curating the Friday night line-up at the festival's Tipi stage this September

Klein

BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction will curate Tipi Stage’s Friday night lineup at End of the Road 2017.

Klein, Xylouris White, Mdou Moctar and a fourth act will play Tipi Stage on 1 September. Late Junction will broadcast recordings of these performances 12 to 14 September from 11 pm.

In celebration of this announcement, Klein played a live session on Late Junction, which you can listen to here.

Her self-released debut album Only blends gospel with electronic experimentation. She recently earned an inaugural Oram Award for women making innovations in music and sonic production.

Duo Xylouris White comprises lute player and vocalist George Xylouris and drummer Jim White of the Dirty Three. Niger’s Mdou Moctar is an experimental guitarist known for his modern, electronic adaptations of Tuareg music.

Late Junction presenter Verity Sharp will also do live Q&As with the artists. The evening will be followed by a DJ set from Late Junction’s Nick Luscombe.

End of the Road is at Larmer Tree Gardens in Dorset, starting Thursday 31 August and ending Sunday 3 September. For details and tickets, click here.
