Laraaji Collaborates With Sun Araw

The two acts will release an album-length collaboration later this month

Superior Viaduct launch their new sub-label W.25TH on June 17 with Professional Sunflow from Laraaji and Sun Araw. You can check out excerpts of two of the album’s tracks above.

Laraaji, born Edward Larry Gordon, was discovered in Washington Square Park by Brian Eno in 1979, a year after he completed his first vinyl recording Celestial Vibration. Eno subsequently produced Gordon’s Ambient 3, Day of Radiance, the third album from Eno’s renowned Ambient series. In the decades since, Laraaji’s numerous records have cemented his reputation as an ambient and new age music pioneer.

Professional Sunflow marks the first release from Laraaji and Sun Araw, though they have been collaborating frequently in recent years. Their project <a href=” https://soundcloud.com/platform/laraaji-sun-araw-the-playzone-live-for-st-johns-sessions-x-boiler-room” target=”out”>‘The Playzone’ was brought to St John-at-Hackney Church in 2014.

W.25TH is soon to release music by artists such as Keiji Haino, Stephen O’Malley and Oren Ambarchi.
