tQ favourites Laibach are set to reissue last year’s Spectre LP in deluxe digital form. The expanded release will be out through Mute on March 30, and adds bonus tracks plus Spectremix, a nine-track remix collection that will also be available on its own. There’s a brace of reworks from Marcel Dettman on there, alongside Sandwell District’s Function, Torul, Alex Smoke, Gramatik, iTurk, Konstantin Sibold and labelmates Diamond Version – give their take on ‘The Whistleblowers’ a play above.
Not only that, but the NSK’s musical wing will be heading out on a gargantuan tour beginning next month, and taking in UK stops at Brighton’s Concorde 2 on March 30, Classic Grand in Glasgow, 31, Electric
Ballroom in London, April 2 and Academy 2 in Manchester, 3. In further Laibach news, not only are the group currently at work on their soundtrack to Iron Sky: The Coming Race, the sequel to 2012’s Iron Sky, but the show they’re playing on April 11 at the Residenztheater in Munich, Germany, will be a collaboration with theatre director Milo Rau, as part of his production The Dark Ages, which will see "[a]ctors from Bosnia, Germany, Russia and Serbia tell their stories of displacement and homelessness, of departure and arrival, of dedication and despair".
