Laibach Release John Peel Radio Sessions on Vinyl

The John Peel Sessions collects two BBC performances the band did in 1986 and 1987

Laibach have released two of their BBC radio sessions for John Peel on vinyl for the first time.

Out now, The John Peel Sessions collects two performances that the Slovenian band did at the BBC’s Maida Vale studios in 1986 and 1987, both leading up to and around the release of their classic album, Opus Dei.

The vinyl release is limited to 1000 copies only, with all of them being made available in record stores this past Friday (November 29) to mark Record Store Day Black Friday. All remaining copies of the record that didn’t sell in stores on the day went online the following day.

The release of The John Peel Sessions coincides with Laibach recently revisiting their album Opus Dei with both a remastered reissue of the record and the unveiling of an updated version of the LP.

The John Peel Sessions is out now on Mute.
