Kraftwerk are set to play their first shows in Australia and New Zealand in a decade.
The German electronic music pioneers will play a eight-date run that will kick off at Wellington’s TSB Arena on November 29. They will then play headline arena shows in Auckland, Brisbande, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth through December. The schedule also takes in an appearance at Victoria’s Meredith Music Festival, which takes place from December 9 to 11.
The run of live dates will follow on from the group’s tour of North America between May and July of last year, as well as a series of European shows last summer that included London’s Field Day. They also recently completed a tour of Central and South America.
Kraftwerk’s current touring lineup consists of Falk Grieffenhagen, Fritz Hilpert, Henning Schmitz and co-founder Ralf Hütter. The group’s other co-founder, Florian Schneider, died in April 2020.
