King Kong Vs Godzilla & Matango Screening

Triple Creature Double Feature at Prince Charles Cinema tomorrow!

This Wednesday August 22 will see Leicester Square quaking in the combined shadow of two celluloid-devouring titans… namely independent connoisseurs of the cult Cigarette Burns and Japanese London film festival Zipangu Fest, who are joining forces at the Prince Charles Cinema to host one of the bigger events listed under the Scala Beyond season umbrella. Directed by kaiju movie master Ishirō Honda, 1962’s iconic King Kong Vs Godzilla and the following year’s mutant plant flick Matango, Fungus Of Terror (aka Attack Of The Mushroom People) will be presented in their English-dubbed versions using glorious 35mm in full super widescreen TohoScope. Hats off to the organisers for securing prints of these tokusatsu treats! You can watch trailers for both pictures below; more information here. The monsters are set to rumble at 7pm, with advance tickets available from the Prince Charles Cinema website. Grr! Argh!
