Kevin Shields Starts Record Label

My Bloody Valentine frontman to release new music by Le Volume Courbe on his new label Pickpocket

Kevin Shields has started a new record label titled Pickpocket, reports NME. But before the heart rates of a million My Bloody Valentine fans accelerate to dangerous levels, the strident perfectionist has made it clear that the label will not put out any new My Bloody Valentine material.

Instead the elusive musician started the label with his friend Charlotte Marionneau in order to put out her band Le Volume Courbe’s new EP Theodaurus Rex. But despite this, Kevin Shields has admitted he’s been working on a new track. When questioned by the NME, Marrionneau teased that “It’s ten minutes of noise. We thought we could put it out as a 10 inch.”

Expect the new track to be released at some point during the next three decades. If we’re lucky.
