Kemper Norton At Cafe Oto

Musician part of a bill reflecting on use of field recordings and tape loops in music at the Dalston venue this saturday

This Saturday (November 28) Cafe Oto hosts Kemper Norton, as well as Sarah Angliss, for the latest in the Saisonscape: Decay series, an installation hosted alongside Art Assembly.

The Decay series is billed as a reflection on the natural cycle of the autumn season with Kemper Norton and Sarah Anglis chosen to play as part of a focus on artists who use archives of field recordings, tape loops and folk stories. Also playing are Lisa Busby and Hoofus. Angliss will perform music from her forthcoming album, Ealing Feeder while Kemper Norton’s upcoming work is said to be loosely based on themes surrounding the lost kingdom of Lyonesse as well as the Torrey Canyon environmental disaster of 1967, both of which were, in the case of the latter supposedly, located off the Cornish southwestern coast. You can find more details on the event here.
