Kate NV has a new album on the way.
Spanning 11 tracks, Kate Shilonosova’s fourth full-length release as Kate NV, and third for RVNG Intl., sees her abandon the conventional song structures of previous album Room For The Moon, according to press materials. It centres around a number of what Shilonosova described as "funny tiny sounds." You can watch a video for the record’s lead track, ‘oni (they)’, which features contributions from Japanese artist Foodman, above.
In addition to ‘oni (they)’, WOW also features the track ‘early bird’, which Shilonosova released in October. In May of this year, she put out Bouquet, a collection of improvised songs that she made with Andrey Bessonov to benefit Ukrainian refugees by directing proceeds to the charity Helping To Leave. A portion of the proceeds from sales of WOW will be donated to another organisation that helps people affected by war, War Child.
RVNG Intl. will release WOW on March 3, 2022.
