Kanye West Mural Destroyed By Creator

'Mural' depicting Kanye West kissing himself painted over by creator after sale of $100,000 made

A large mural depicting Kanye West passionately kissing himself has been destroyed by its creator, having apparently sold the piece for £53,000.

As the Guardian reports, Australian artist Scott Marsh painted over the six-metre-tall work having sold it to an anonymous buyer. Marsh had said he would paint over the mural and sell a video of it as well as a one-off oversized print of it for $100,000 and has now done so. Posting on Instagram, he confirmed that a sale had been made but did not say to who.

Marsh previously claimed that he had been contacted by West’s management to paint over it shortly after images went viral. “I asked for six figures and a lifetime supply of Yeezy Boosts,” he said at the time. However, they did not respond to his request.
