kandodo, the electronics guise of The Heads guitarist Simon Price, is set to release his second album, k2o, on August 19 via Thrill Jockey, and we’ve got a first listen in the form of ‘july 28th’:
Following his self-titled debut from last year, inspired by his childhood in Zambia and Malawi, the new LP is again made up of Price’s self-recorded guitar and synth work, with fellow Heads man Wayne Maskell contributing percussion, as well as field recordings he made of the Italian shoreline (possibly echoed in the album’s artwork; see below) and a tour of Elvis Presley’s Graceland.
