It’s with great excitement that we can announce a mighty joining of forces this morning, namely that of darkly-hued electronic pop band Jupiter-C and Bristol imprint Invada. The Manchester/Liverpool-via-London duo, made up of Ashiya Eastwood and David Kane, have confirmed that they’ll be releasing their debut EP through the label this autumn and will be recording in the Invada studios this month. The record will feature four original tracks, as well as remixes by their former tourmate, William Doyle of East India Youth, and Clint Mansell, the ex-Pop Will Eat Itself man who’s now composing some excellent film soundtracks, including, most recently, High-Rise. The release will see them joining the likes of BEAK> and The KVB in the house of Invada and comes on the heels of a tour with Algiers last year.
Before the EP, you can catch the band at the Castle Hotel in Manchester alongside TVAM on April 15, and you can get all the necessary info and tickets over at the band’s website here. And before that, take a listen to their most recent release, ‘The Process’/’Locust’, below, and read our interview with them here.
