Julia Holter Shares New Single, ‘Sun Girl’

Holter brings herself out of her "comfort zone" on the new cut, she's said in a statement

Julia Holter has released a new standalone single, called ‘Sun Girl’.

Out on her longtime label home Domino, the new cut combines flute, field recordings, bagpipes, keyboard, mellotron, drums and other sounds. The track, which you can watch a video for above, is the sound, Holter said in a statement, of "being brought out of my comfort zone – into the unknown, playfulness and chaos."

‘Sun Girl’ follows on from Holter’s last studio album, 2018’s Aviary. Earlier this year, she contributed vocals to Call Super’s album Eulo Cramps.

‘Sun Girl’ is out now on Domino.
