Joy Orbison and Overmono Share New Collaboration, ‘Lippy’

It features vocals from Montréal rapper Skiifall

Joy Orbison and Overmono have reprised their joint Joy Overmono alias for a new track, ‘Lippy’.

Featuring vocals from Montréal rapper Skiifall, the new cut was born from a shared studio session between Joy Orbison and Overmono at XL Recordings’ London base, and was further crafted between Bristol, New York and Montréal. Having laid down the instrumental, Joy Orbison connected with Skiifall, following a previous studio session involving the two, feeling his vocal would elevate the production further.

‘Lippy’ has become a fixture of both Joy Orbison and Overmono’s recent sets. Both are set to play at this weekend’s Glastonbury festival, with the latter scheduled for a Sunday night headline slot at the West Holts stage. The new track follows previous Joy Overmono collaborations ‘Blind Date’ and ‘Bromley’.

‘Lippy’ is out now on XL Recordings.
