Joni Mitchell Launches Archival Release Series

Amongst the first set of releases is 'Early Joni', which features recordings made when Mitchell was just 19

Joni Mitchell has launched a series of archival reissues.

The Joni Mitchell Archives gets underway next month with the release of Live At Canterbury House, Early Joni and The Early Years (1963-1967) on vinyl, CD and digital formats.

Live At Canterbury House takes in the recording of a previously unreleased performance by Mitchell at the UK venue in 1967. Tracks such as ‘Chelsea Morning’, ‘Come To The Sunshine’ and ‘I Had A King’ all appear on the tracklist. Early Joni, meanwhile, takes in some of the earliest known live recordings of Mitchell. Captured when she was aged just 19, the recording has remained unreleased until now.

The final of the first three releases in the archival series, The Early Years (1963-1967), arrives as a box set that features nearly six hours of unreleased home, live and radio recordings.

Rhino Records will release Live At Canterbury House, Early Joni and The Early Years (1963-1967) on October 30, 2020.
