Jon Hassell To Release New Album, ‘Seeing Through Sound’

It's the second instalment of the Fourth World pioneer's 'Pentimento' series

Jon Hassell has a new album on the way.

Titled Seeing Through Sound, the record marks the second instalment of the Fourth World pioneer’s Pentimento series, which he launched in 2018 with the release of Listening To Pictures. You can hear lead track ‘Fearless’, which opens the album, just below.

Seeing Through Sound is comprised of eight tracks. Its release follows on from the reissue earlier this year of Hassell’s 1977 debut album, Vernal Equinox.

Ndeya will release Seeing Through Sound (Pentimento Volume Two) on July 24, 2020.

In April, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to raise funds to support the 83-year-old Hassell after he recently fell on hard times due to long-time health issues.
