Tjinder Singh and Ben Ayers of Cornershop have kick-started their new Singhles Club project, with six new releases for the princely sum of £6.
The project is designed to reflect the wide range of production styles that front man Tjinder is interested in and already released in the series are the groovadelic, radiophonic, children’s singalong ‘What Did The Hippie Have In His Bag?’ and the smart, European electronic pop of ‘Non-stop Radio’ featuring Celeste, which come complete with excellent printable art booklets. Also included with each release is an intriuging "digital popadom".
People wanting to join simply need to click here.
Now we are proud to give you an exclusive listen to the third in the series, ‘Beacon Radio 303’, the third in the series, featuring new collaborator, Rajwant.
Cornershop ft Rajwant – BEACON RADIO 303 by cornershopCornershop say: "Rajwant was introduced to us via Alison Wonderland of Damaged Goods Records and is our very own ample play photographer, after she saw Rajwant play at a party laid on for Billy Childish.
This track is laidback in its Punjabi funk, creating a sound that is best described as where rural country roads meet the City."
Club subscribers will get the track on Monday August 8, with a very special digital popadom, a cut out and keep turban man mask for all your urban turban needs. And new subscribers need not worry – they’ll receive all six tracks… just in a different order.
