Johnny Marr will release his first live solo album next month collecting recordings from two shows on his recent tour in support of album Playland.
Entitled Adrenalin Baby, the album collects performances from his Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo shows and features music from his two solo albums, The Messenger and Playland as well as a wealth of classic The Smiths tracks. There are also interpretations of Electronic ‘Getting Away With It’ and The Clash’s ‘I Fought The Law’. “I wanted to capture the atmosphere and feeling of the last couple of tours,” says Johnny of the album. “It’s been a special time and the album is a document for fans who were there, and for people who haven’t seen me and might want to check out what the shows are about.” The album is out on October 9.
