The soundtrack for the new Halloween film will be released this October via Sacred Bones Records.
John Carpenter once again reprises his role as soundtrack producer for the film franchise – it’s his first Halloween soundtrack since the release of the third film in the series in 1982. You can preview his soundtrack above via the short teaser trailer.
The new film sees Jamie Lee Curtis return to the role of Laurie Strode for what is billed as "her final confrontation with Michael Myers". Sacred Bones Records says that the new soundtrack "pays homage to the classic Halloween score that Carpenter composed and recorded in 1978".
Carpenter’s soundtrack will be released on CD, digitally and on various vinyl formats on October 19. It can be pre-ordered here.
John Carpenter will play a selection of UK live shows around the time of the soundtrack’s release taking in dates at London’s Eventim Apollo (October 16), Newcastle’s Tyne Theatre (October 18), Glasgow’s Barrowlands (October 19) and the Albert Hall in Manchester (October 21).
