An expanded reissue of John Carpenter’s score to the 2018 Halloween film is due out next month. You can watch a teaser trailer for the release above.
The expanded edition will take in 24 extra cues from the film and a total of 28 additional minutes of music that was produced for it by Carpenter alongside his son, Cody Carpenter, and his godson, Daniel Davies.
The deluxe 2xLP vinyl release of Halloween: Expanded Edition will come with new art and packaging, and will be available through Sacred Bones Records from October 18.
Carpenter’s score for the 2018 version of the film was his first since 2001’s Ghost of Mars and followed on from 2015’s Lost Themes, which was the iconic soundtrack producer’s first non-film-related release.
