Icelandic musician and composer Jóhann Jóhannsson’s debut album is due to be posthumously reissued next month.
The album, entitled Englabörn, will be reissued with new additional remixes – Jóhannsson had completed the project shortly before his death earlier this month.
The reissue is having with the support and approval of the composer’s family. The album was originally released in 2002 via Touch before receiving its first reissue in 2007 courtesy of 4AD. It has been fully remastered for this new edition, and the remixes have been produced by Jóhannsson himself as well as other artists.
Englabörn & Variations will be released on March 23 via Deutsche Grammophon.
