Jim Legxacy has shared a new track, called ‘father’.

The new cut, which samples George Smallwood’s disco soul song ‘I Love My Father’, had been previously teased by the South London-based producer and vocalist via his social channels in 2024, leading to heavy anticipation for its release. You can watch a video for the track, which he made alongside fellow London-based producer YT, below.

‘father’ is the second song to be unveiled from forthcoming mixtape black british music (2025), which is due for release this year and will mark Jim Legxacy’s first full-length project for XL Recordings. He previously shared the single ‘aggressive’ last October.

‘father’ is out now on XL Recordings.
