Jessy Lanza has shared a new single, ‘Don’t Leave Me Now’.
Released through Hyperdub, the new track was the first piece of music that Lanza wrote and produced after relocating to Los Angeles in 2022. The track’s lyrics were written in response to Lanza’s experience of almost being hit by a car when first arriving in the city, which triggered an instance of the agoraphobia she’s lived with since she was young.
Alongside the single, Lanza has shared a video for the track, which you can watch above. It stars Lanza, as well as her sister and touring band member Angie, and was filmed on the streets of LA.
‘Don’t Leave Me Now’ is out now on Hyperdub.
