Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller is releasing a new documentary. Commissioned by art magazine Frieze and fashion house Gucci, Everybody In The Place: An Incomplete History of Britain 1984-1992 sees Deller exploring the competing histories of acid house through archival footage and discussions with an A-level politics class. Deller’s doc is one part of a series of works organised by Gucci and Frieze entitled ‘The Second Summer of Love.’ Two other releases focusing on music, Josh Blaaberg’s Italo film Distant Planet: The Six Chapters of Simona and Wu Tsang’s Into the Space of Love, which focuses on New York house.
The Second Summer of Love series is showing currently at the Gucci Wooster cinema in New York and will arrive in London at Frieze Fair in October.
