JD Twitch To Launch New Compilation Label

Cease & Desist will launch with a retrospective of early '90s bleep techno

Optimo’s JD Twitch is launching a new label devoted to compilations.

Cease & Desist will launch with the release of Join The Future: UK Bleep & Bass 1988-91, a compilation curated by author and journalist Matt Anniss, who recently penned the book Join The Future: Bleep Techno And The Birth Of British Bass Music. The compilation will serve as a companion to that book which opens with a foreword by JD Twitch.

The 12-track compilation takes in some rarities and unreleased music from the period of early bleep techno that developed between the late ’80s and early ’90s. Amongst the acts featured are Cabaret Voltaire, Ital Rockers, Nightmares on Wax, Tuff Little Unit and Unique 3 & The Mad Musician.

Cease & Desist will release Join The Future: UK Bleep & Bass 1988-91 on March 25. You can find more information, as well as previews, here.
