The late, great J-Dilla is set to have a number of his unreleased tracks released through Moodymann’s Mahogani Music on 12th June, report Juno. That’s obviously great news for anyone familiar with the seminal hip-hop producer, whose work combined an unerring ear for a good sample and careful track construction with an alchemical ability to wring new emotional content from his source material. The record, entitled Dillatroit, is being released as a collaborative project between Mahogani, the Yancey Media Group and the J-Dilla foundation.
