WATCH: Invincible Scum – ‘Scumrush’

Watch the video for a "pulsating analogue power jam" from Chrome Hoof man Milo Smee and Andy Blake

Milo Smee – who is probably best known for his presence in Chrome Hoof – has lately been releasing a series of crushing acidic dance tracks under the name Bintus, via his Power Vacuum label. Now the label’s latest 12" features a track by Smee in collaboration with Andy Blake – under the duo’s Invincible Scum moniker – titled ‘Scumrush’. They’ve just made the video available for a segment of the track – four-odd minutes, in fact, which you can watch above – but the entire thing runs out to 14 minutes of gradually unspooling arpeggiated basslines and melodies, all anchored around a propulsive techno skeleton. "Like a web of technoidal spaghetti thrown in the face of a non believer, Invincible Scum (Andy Blake / Milo Smee) lay down a pulsating analog power jam," says the press release, which, to be honest, we’d struggle to better.

The Scumrush 12" will be released in the near future, accompanied by a B-side remix by Bintus – which "stitches together shreds from the cutting room floor, the asymmetrical tapestry making several passes under his philosophers anvil" – as well as a brief reprise of the original.
