Independent Label Week Kicks Off

New annual event celebrating work of independent record labels worldwide

The first Independent Label Week kicks off today and will run throughout this week until this Sunday (November 15).

It has been established as an annual celebration of independent record labels all over the world, aiming to encourage people to engage with local independent operations in their area. Independent record labels worldwide are organising a variety of special events and one-off releases and sales to celebrate the first Independent Label Week. Among those are a special vinyl pressing of Nico’s 1971 BBC session for John Peel, the first of two for Peel, from Gearbox Records as well as slamming techno releases from Scotland’s Soma Records camp. You can find full details on all the events, releases and sales taking place as part of Independent Label Week 2015 here.
