Incubate Announce New Additions To Line-Up

Converge, Merzbow and Shining amongst names added to Tilburg festival

Tilburg’s Incubate festival have revealed a host of new artists set to perform at this year’s edition, taking place between September 14-20, having already announced a number of acts including Cabaret Voltaire, Mercury Rev and Factory Floor.

Laurel Halo, Dope Body, Converge, Alcest and Merzbow are amongst the new additions, with the latter performing three times over the course of the festival. Each set will see Masami Akita in a different guise, with a solo set, Balazs Pandi and Full Of Hell show all planned. Shining, the Norwegian group who combining jazz with black metal, rather than the controversial Swedish act of the same name, will also join the festival. German folk-doom metal act Empyrium will also make an appearance, showcasing material from their latest studio album The Turn of Tides, released last year. Their performance is set to take place in a venue described as a "secluded nature theatre" in a forest on the outskirts of Tilburg.

Other artists announced today include black metal acts Emptiness, Destruction Unit, Sun Worship, Drowned, Necros Christos, Marc Richter’s solo project Black To Comm, Good Throb, Snob, Priests, Dornenreich, Tarwater, Rapoon, Sarah Lipstate, the Austin-based composer and film-maker appearing as Noveller, PC Worship, Primitve Man, Victims and Useless Eaters.
