Next week will see the first performance in London for over a year from Imaginary Forces. With a discography that has seen the producer tied to a number of exciting labels including Bedouin, Entr’acte and Type, as well as a recent connection to Rabit’s fledgling Halcyon Veil label, the gig will offer a chance to catch him presenting new material from an album that he is currently working on for Type.
The producer will play alongside MCs Kwam and Darkos on the night. On support duties are Warren Schoenbright, who release their new album (Out of Bounds) Eaten by the Forest on December 14 – you can check out a track from that album exclusively above called ‘Fucking Torrential/Delirium’ – with the album set to draw on noise, drone and free jazz influences. Completing the line-up is GunCleaner whose live sets involve the manipulation of field recordings “designed to accompany exorcisms of both religious and secular natures”.
It’s all being organised by the team at the Vacant Fulfilment label and takes place on November 6 at New River Studios. As you can see from the flyer below, tickets are £5 and it all kicks off at 8pm on the night. You can find out more information here.
