Danish punks Iceage will be playing a headline show this Sunday, December 2, at a punk all-dayer at Dalston’s Shacklewell Arms.
All proceeds from the event, which is being organised by Matador and promoters SexBeat, will go to the charity Freedom From Torture, which provides care for victims of torture.
Iceage will be joined by Eagulls, Mazes, Vision Fortune, Chain Of Flowers and Boneyards live, as well as DJ sets from Fair Ohs, SexBeat, Tough Love, Sauna Youth and Matador. There’ll also be a raffle with prizes from Matador, 4AD, Rough Trade, XL, Wichita, Mute, Warp, Bella Union and Domino.
Says Joshua Smith from Chain Of Flower: “Freedom From Torture speaks up for the survivors of torture and organised violence, alerting people to the unthinkable experiences these people have been through. These events are an incredible way to spread the word of what this charity does for these people, and we are really happy to be a part of it.”
The Quietus can’t think of a much better way to spend a Sunday night, and with tickets costing a mere £7 – head here – we’d urge you to get yourself down there.
