Hyperdub Produces Sega Music Cartridge

Burial, Kode9, Cooly G and more contribute exclusive tracks to the special collaboration with gaming company Analogue

Hyperdub has rounded off its 15th anniversary celebrations with the release of a new Sega Mega Drive music cartridge, featuring tracks from a number of artists on the label’s roster.

The collaboration with Sega producer Analogue features previously unreleased tracks by Burial, Kode9, Cooly G, Ikonika, Scratcha DVA, Lee Gamble, Mana, Proc Fiskal, DJ Taye, Nazar and Jessy Lanza & Jeremy Greenspan. You can hear a teaser of Burial’s track, ‘Starlore’, above, and check out 20-second snippets of the other tracks below.

The cartridges are limited to 1000 units in the world, with only 150 available to buy in the EU. The tracks, packaged together on a compilation called Konsolation, come exclusively with a limited edition remake of the Sega Mega Drive. You can purchase a bundle, and check a full tracklist for the release, here.
