Melbourne industrial duo HTRK have just announced the release of their third album, Psychic 9-5 Club, slated to come out on April 1 via Ghostly International. They’ve already aired material from the record, their first recorded entirely as a two-piece following the suicide of founding member Sean Stewart in 2010, at a Corsica Studios show last month, and have now posted the first full taster of the album, ‘Give It Up’, which you can listen to below:

The follow-up to 2011’s Work (Work, Work) was recorded in New Mexico, with the band using a producer, "kindred spirit" Nathan Corbin of Brooklyn crew Excepter, for the first time. The press release tells us the album is themed around love, with Jonnine Standish’s lyrics focussing on "the complexities of sexuality and the body’s reaction to personal loss, though there’s room for wry humour", while Nigel Yang’s sonics will be indebted to "his well-documented love of dub". Stay tuned for further coverage of the album, and have a read of our recent interview with them, done ahead of their appearance at the BFI’s night in tribute to long-term friend of the band Rowland S. Howard.
