House Of God To Mark 30th Anniversary With Charity Compilation

The release from the Birmingham clubbing institution takes in tracks by Surgeon, Regis and more

Famed Birmingham techno party House Of God is releasing a charity

compilation to mark its 30th anniversary.

Out in May, the 24-track Brum As Fuck collects new and old cuts by a number of figures associated with the clubbing institution, including residents Surgeon, Regis and Sir Real, as well as Neil Landstrumm, Jerome Hill and Makaton. All profits from sales of the compilation, which will be available digitally and in various box set vinyl editions, will be donated to homeless and mental health charities based in the Midlands.

The compilation is available to pre-order via House Of God’s Bandcamp page, while you can listen to preview clips of all 24 cuts on the release here.

House Of God’s 30th anniversary party will take place at Birmingham’s Tunnel Club this Friday (March 10). Tickets for the event, which will feature sets from Surgeon and other residents, are sold out.

House Of God initially launched at Birmingham’s now-closed Que Club in the ’90s. Frequently hosting sets by the likes of Surgeon, Regis and Paul ‘Damage’ Bailey, the party was vital to the establishment of the ‘Birmingham sound’ in techno, with heavy industrial influences.

House Of God will release Brum As Fuck on May 10, 2023.
