Holy Tongue and Shackleton Unveil Collaborative LP, ‘The Tumbling Psychic Joy Of Now’

The six-track record came about after the two acts shared a festival lineup in Sweden

Holy Tongue and Shackleton have linked up for a new collaborative album, titled The Tumbling Psychic Joy Of Now.

Spanning six tracks, it marks the first time the two acts have collaborated on record and came about after they shared a festival lineup in Sweden. Holy Tongue – the trio of Valentina Magaletti, Al Wootton and Susumu Mukai – had initially wanted Shackleton to remix one of their existing tracks, but they ultimately settled on working on a whole new project.

You can preview the album via lead cut ‘The Merciful Lake’, which is available to listen to below.

This is Holy Tongue’s first release of 2024, following last year’s Deliverance And Spiritual Warfare LP. Shackleton, meanwhile, just released another collaborative project, Jinxed By Being, with Six Organs Of Admittance via Drag City.

AD 93 will release The Tumbling Psychic Joy Of Now on August 23, 2024.
