Holy Mountain Club In Birmingham

Jodorowsky-inspired extravaganza among Fierce Festival highlights

Taking his cues from Alejandro Jodorowsky’s lysergic cinema masterpiece The Holy Mountain, artist Harminder Singh Judge will transform Birmingham’s PST into "a dark, hallucinogenic space" tomorrow night (Saturday March 31) for a multi-artform party including live sets from musicians Oni Ayhun and Joseph Quimby (plus DJs LuckyPDF), a turn by contortionist Iona Kewney, ‘abrasive sound intervention’ from Brian Catling and Joost Nieuwenburg’s movement piece ‘Two Surfaces On Contact’, in which he uses his shoes to set light to a platform covered with match heads.

This event is one of many new commissions taking place at myriad venues as part of Fierce Festival, the city’s annual celebration of international performance; more information here.
