Hoarder is the latest project in a series of collaboration between Hercules & Love Affair’s Andy Butler and multimedia artist Joie Iacono. Premiering above is a new video for their track ‘Tetanus Spike’ which features on a new four-track EP for the London-based Khemia Records.
The EP itself sees the pair partially folding in the kind of industrial techno sounds you might expect to hear at Kaos, the London club night connected to Khemia Records, also particularly harking back to the older ’80s industrial sounds that Butler has experimented with as part of Hercules & Love Affair.
Iacono has put together the above video, drawing on the visual art she has spent a number of years working on under names such as David Armstrong, Dike Blair, Annie Sprinkle and Billy Sullivan. It presents a barrage of sometimes unsettling found footage, jolting quickly through various different frames. You can follow the pair’s YouTube channel – where you can expect more audiovisual content in the future – here.
Hoarder will release their new EP through Khemia Records later this month.
