Hiroshi Yoshimura’s 1986 album GREEN has been reissued.
The new version of the Japanese ambient classic arrives via a newly launched sub-label of Light In The Attic called WATER COPY, which will be devoted to sharing music by the late new age pioneer. You can hear the full album above.
GREEN has become one of Yoshimura’s most highly sought-after albums on the resale market over the years with second-hand copies of the 1986 original often selling for upwards of $1000. WATER COPY’s reissue is made up of the album’s original mix, which originally only appeared on the Japanese vinyl release of the record and was Yoshimura’s preferred version.
WATER COPY has released its reissue of GREEN digitally today, while vinyl, CD and cassette editions are expected to follow in the summer.
