Hey Colossus Dominant Male Now On Vinyl

Hey Colossus, the house band on the roll on/roll off overnight ferry to purgatory, have just had their Dominant Male EP released on vinyl for the first time.

The eight track, which was formerly only available on cassette, can now be bought for cash money from Clan Destine Records. I’ve been listening to it all afternoon and it’s making me want to drink pseudo-ephedrine enriched cough medicine. In a good way.

Sitting uncomfortably somewhere between the Silver Apples, Wolf Eyes, the Butthole Surfers and a degraded Betamax copy of a documentary about the execution of Peter Kürten dubbed badly into Armenian, this is the ideal Xmas gift for anyone in your life who wakes up outdoors more than once a year (who already owns Threads on DVD).

It features this track:

HEY COLOSSUS “hood up” from movies for ears on Vimeo.

Elsewhere in Hey Colossus world, following on from their excellent and groovy RRR album this year, the band have recruited Part Chimp frontman Tim Cedar as their new drummer. Tim is busting his live HC cherry in France in February next year.

And finally they have been added to the amazing sounding Sixth And Final British Wildlife Festival up in Leeds on March 8, next year. The line up also features Zun Zun Egui, Teeth Of The Sea and Ashtray Navigations. Nice.
