Helm Details New Album, ‘Axis’

Luke Younger has signed to Dais Records for the release of his latest LP

Helm, AKA Luke Younger, has a new album on the way, titled Axis.

Due out in November, the record marks Younger’s first for Dais Records, and features contributions from Lucy Railton (cello), Mark Morgan of Sightings (guitar), Alex Tucker (vocals) and the late John Hannon (violin). You can watch a video for lead track ‘Repellent’ above.

Work on Axis started before the COVID-19 pandemic, with its origins laying in a soundtrack to a dance performance, with a vision of something "visceral, with physical movement in mind." The project was put on indefinite hiatus as a result of the pandemic, with Younger later reimagining the material in the context of an LP.

Dais Records will release Axis on November 12, 2021.
