Helena Hauff has confirmed details of her second album, entitled Qualm. Above, you can hear two tracks from the album: ‘Qualm’ and ‘No Qualms’.
The album sees the German DJ and producer once again jamming with her usual set-up of various synths, or as she puts it herself, "trying to create something powerful without using too many instruments and layers".
Qualm follows the release of her 2015 debut LP Discreet Desires, which was released on Ninja Tune offshoot Werkdiscs. The producer also released a four-track 12" last year on Ninja Tune entitled Have You Been There, Have You Seen It.
She has a number of festival and club appearances lined up over the course of the summer around the album’s release including an appearance at Amsterdam’s Dekmantel festival on August 5, as well as at London’s E1 on August 10 and Houghton festival on August 12.
Qualm is out on Ninja Tune on August 3. You can pre-order the album here.
