Heavenly Recordings Set For Night In Paris

Label taking Toy and co on the road for Disquaire Day; have a look at their Record Store Day releases below

Next weekend, Heavenly Recordings will be packing the vanguard of their ace current roster – Toy, Stealing Sheep, Temples and Charlie Boyer & The Voyeurs – into a van and heading down to Paris to celebrate Disquaire Day, the French Record Store Day, on April 20.

In what will no doubt be an abstinent, sombre affair, the bands will be playing a couple of in-stores at agnès b. femme – Temples and CB&TV on Friday, April 19, from 8pm; Toy and Stealing Sheep on Saturday, April 20, from 1pm – before heading to La Maroquinerie to play a show that night (Saturday), set to be broadcast on OÜI FM.

The Quietus will be there in person, and we’d urge all of our Parisian readers, and everyone else, to buy a ticket and head along – for more details, go to Facebook here.

In other Heavenly news, the label will be marking Record Store Day with three releases.

We’ve already mentioned the Toy/The Horrors double A-side 12", which is a 500-copy run of The Horrors’ Tom Furse’s remix of ‘Motoring’ backed by Dom and Ale of Toy’s reworking of ‘Moving Further Away’. In addition, Stealing Sheep are putting out two new tracks, ‘A Real Clown’ and ‘Do As You Will’ on a 300-copy 7" release. The trio’s completed by the release of the first single, ‘Cold Molly’, to come out of Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood’s ace collaboration, released on a 10", also at 300 copies, that comes with remixes from Soulsavers and The Duke Spirit’s Liela Moss and Toby Butler.
