The history of Manchester’s late Haçienda nightclub is well-documented having provided the backdrop to a thriving Manchester music scene in the 1990s and played a seminal role in the history of rave and electronic music. Now one of its former resident DJs, Dave Haslam, is selling his record collection, which you can get a little look at above.
As the Vinyl Factory reports, Haslam has amassed a very hefty collection in his years as a DJ having played close to 500 nights at the club. This means that he has 4,300 records up for sale ranging across a variety of genres, and around 90% of that figure apparently consists of 12” records. Writing on Facebook, Haslam said: “Time has come. Vinyl sale. ALL MY VINYL is for sale, but ideally I would like someone to take the whole lot. Approx 4300 records, around 90% 12″ singles, 10% albums. If anyone is interested in buying the collection or can point me towards someone who might, please get in touch.” You heard the man then – if you have quite a bit of cash to spare, get in touch.
