Guttersnipe & Yeah You At Cafe Oto Tonight

London is bracing itself for the arrival of two of the most exciting live bands playing in Europe today, Guttersnipe and Yeah You.

Both bands were lined up to support the incomparable EEK featuring Islam Chipsy before he ran into visa problems but are still scheduled to play this evening (June 3) at Cafe Oto, with newcomers Astoria in support.

Guttersnipe are an urgent duo of Xyloxopa Violaxia Bdallophytum on guitar, vocals and electronics and Oxylepis on drums, drawing in influences (according to some stunned listeners) of everything from Bolt Thrower to Consumer Electronics, with song titles such as ‘The Last Vestiges Of Sodomy On The Race Track’ probably telling you more than my description can.

Yeah You, a father and daughter team, have a history of playing impromptu gigs in the family car and in motorway laybys. Check out one such gig below:
