Green Man Festival have just opened up this year’s Green Man Rising competition for entries.
New artists and bands can submit a track or video through the festival’s website and then go on to be put to the public vote, which runs through to 8pm on July 8. The act with the most votes will then play the live final at Camden’s Dublin Castle on July 18, where they’ll join three bands picked out by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens.
As well as Stephens, this year’s judging panel is made up by label figures, Moshi Moshi’s Stephen Bass and Domino’s Jack Shankly, journalists Mike Diver of Clash and Phil Alexander of Mojo and Green Man booker Ben Coleman, who says: “Green Man Rising is inspired by our passion for discovering, supporting and sharing brilliant new music. It costs nothing to take part so if you think you need to be heard, then we can’t wait to hear it.”
Head over to the Green Man Rising page now to enter and cast your vote over the current submissions.
