Green Man Finalises 2021 Lineup

Ghostpoet, Tirzah and more have joined the bill

Green Man Festival has added a final raft of names to the bill for this year’s edition of the Welsh festival, as well as sharing details of its arts, film and spoken word programming.

Tirzah will be headlining the opening Thursday Night, with Ghostpoet, Nubiyan Twist, Dream Wife, Lynks, Honeyglaze, Ibibio Sound Machine and Shovel Dance Collective also joining the bill. Aditionally, the Cardiff-based audiovisual artist Teddy Hunter has been announced as the winner of the Green Rising new talent competition, and will be rewarded with a set on the main Mountain Stage.

Due to coronvirus-enforced issues, Little Dragon, Puma Blue, Viagra Boys, Marisa Anderson and The Maytals Band will no longer be able to perform.

The festival has also announced its arts and spoken word programming, with the latter including Nadine Shah in conversation with journalist Jude Rogers; Poet Laureate Simon Armitage discussing poetry, podcasting, music and his career; Chilly Gonzalez exploring the music of Enya; Pete Paphides on his memoir Broken Greek; and more.

The Cinedrome film tent will feature screenings of movies, such as Crock Of Gold, Sound Of Metal, Poly Styrene: I Am A Cliche, The Witches Of The Orient, Black Bear and Sisters With Transistors.

The festival had already announced headliners Mogwai, Caribou and Fontaines D.C., as well as the likes of Thundercat, Teenage Fanclub, Django Django, Gruff Rhys, Nadine Shah, Black Midi and more.

Green Man will take place from August 19 to 22, 2021. For more information, head here.
