Grand River, the moniker of Berlin-based composer and sound designer Aimée Portioli, has shared details of her third album, All Above.
Taking in eight tracks, the record is her second full-length for Editions Mego, following 2020’s Blink A Few Times To Clear Your Eyes. Written and produced over the course of the last two years, All Above is said to widen the scope of Portioli’s sound. With a heavy focus on the piano, she also makes use of voices, strings, organs, guitars and synths across the album. You can watch a video for lead track ‘Human’ above.
Editions Mego will release All Above on February 24, 2023.
